Letter to our customers:
The Bynari Team would like to take this opportunity to wish you a safe and happy time during this coming Holiday Season and all the best for the coming year.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we close the year. We have been very focused on getting new products completed for the 1st quarter of 2008.
The mobility solution is currently in development. To start, it will sync from Connector/Outlook to the Blackberry device. Additional devices will be supported before it is released. The Kolab Connector will go live in January/February. The Kolab Connector is specifically for the open source server, Kolab. http://www.bynari.net/products/insight_connector/insight_connector_for_kolab_groupware.html
iCal Connector will also be available during the same time. The iCal Connector is for email servers that support the iCal format for sharing calendar and contacts. We are planning to support OSX iCal as well as other products, next year. To ensure stability and performance, we have multiple partners testing these environments.
Recently, Google announced their new Gmail IMAP server. It has been tested with the Connector/Outlook, and it works. In addition, Gmail IMAP works with the Webclient for calendar sharing. Quick Product Updates:
Insight Connector Version 3.1.5:
Insight Addressbook 3.0:

We will provide the option to install it together or separately for customers who only want the Addressbook. Some bug fixes and enhancements will be added.
Webclient 5.1:
- Redesigning the interface
Stand alone WebClient (available)
- Works with any open source servers or generic IMAP servers
- Tested with Cyrus and Courier
Server 5.0 Update:
Server 5.0 is in Alpha phase with many enhancements. This server is designed to be used in small businesses up to large enterprises. We have provided some details based on different functions. Below are the tentative features. If you need more information, please contact me.
Scalability & Performance:
- Scalability of up to 8000 active users/15000 users on one single hardware server
- Metadata support for faster folder sharing with Outlook
- Capacity Planning
- GUI statistics module to monitor Connector & WebClient traffic separately as well as other traffic down to the network level
- Multiple IMAP instances per processor one machine or run on several machines
Ease of Use:
- Upgrade path to 5.0 and will retain all user customized options
- Server will only need the IP address of the email server to start and run the system within minutes)
- The web admin screens have been completely updated
- All the configuration information will have drop-down boxes with listed options---will not allow you to make a mistake
- All the configuration options will already have the optimized default values so that you do not need to understand email servers to run neonInsight
Tools:
- Backup and Restore tool will allow backup and restore of single email with monitoring capabilities and auto-scheduler under the B&R option
- Spam, Virus, and Amavisd will be configurable via the same web admin interface in GUI format
- Migration is enhanced with the ability to migrate from Exchange 5.5 and above with monitoring capabilities that show the status of % complete, complete log of the migration activity, and other features
- Sieve filter enhancements
- Quota support enhancements
- Support for SAMBA user domain has been added
- High Availability coming in phase 2 as part of server
- Archiving coming in phase 2 as part of server
